Senior Social Worker- Looked After Children

Our client is looking for a senior Social Worker to join their Looked After Children’s Team.

They are looking for a confident and experienced senior practitioner to join their integrated health and social LAC team. As a member of the multi disciplinary team you will be working alongside District nurses, occupational therapists, homecare assessors and other social care staff including social work assistants based in the same office.

Dedicated and self motivated, with experience of working with children and young people before, you will deliver a high quality care as part of a team assessing, care managing and reviewing services for looked after children and their guardians.

Your role will incorporate you interviewing and assessing potential carers in our clients long term fostering and adoption team, and help by providing support, supervision and regular training. Provide rota and care packages for each individual service user to ensure they get a high quality and efficient service.

To become a successful applicant in this post you will need to have the following things:
• A social work qualification (DipSW or equivalent)
• At least four years post qualification work experience
• Registration with the General Social Care Council
• The ability to apply for a CRB disclosure

This is initially a 28 week contract however the manager has said that he may be looking to extend that. the pay rate for this position has been set at £24.60 per hour not including the various expenses.
