Tai-Chi Calligraphy Illuminations Penpal Friend Arty, Artsy, not Arsey Age: 26
Does anyone out there have a passion for calligraphy?
Of course you do......you can write can't you....see..... your half way there
I am looking for those with a genuine interest in calligraphy, to exchange letters, post, meet, discuss. If there is enough interest I may even set up some sort of group meeting, for practise/tutorials for particular styles.....that's the future.
.....but first I want to know who I'm dealing with and if there is any interest, you see the thing is you can't get on the bus without no ticket, so a few e-mails to establish where you stand in terms of your calligraphy skills and who you are. then bobs your uncle the bus rolls on.
Female/Male/Hermaphrodite/Squirrel/Dog, not fussed what you are, but please.... no chipmunks. I've heard about you lot, nothing but trouble.
Positive creatures welcome.
This is your chance to enhance existing skills or to develop a new skill. You can do calligraphy anywhere, except on a bus, train or tube, too wobbly, bouncy castle probably won't work either. Haven't tried, but wouldn't recommend it!
Calligraphy really is fun, if you are into art/graphic design, developing font skills are essential; E-SSEN-SHI-AL I tell thee..... it gives you such a broad range of strokes. Your cats and dogs will forever be thankful.
The sheer range of technique and movements from different typefonts unlocks different parts of the brain, if you allow yourself to flow onto the paper it can become extremely relaxing. Something to do with muscle memory motor-neuron's unlocking pathways,,,,the road less travelled. Tis good for you is what I'm saying. Unlike going for the record of the most Stella's you can drink before before you forget your name.....that's bad.
Wouldn't recommend that, but calligraphy.....its an engrossing hobby.
You can even enhance your home with it. My kitchen walls are covered in beautiful gothic script, the thing is, visitors moan all the time about the content, they say I should have written the pizza menu instead of the chinese. Cha-ching.
No seriously you can enhance your home with it, pick a latin phrase that means something to you, draw it on the wall and it becomes an immediate talking point.
I have gone on for to long and am sure you well up for becoming involved in calligraphy, so its up to you now.
Mail me and I'll get right back to you.
Cheerio
