Purchaser Office Manager
This excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchaser to join my clients office based North of the city.
The position will involve all aspects of purchasing for the company and managing a small team. Whilst the technical specification will be decided by my clients technical engineers keen negotiation skills will be required to ensure their competitiveness.
You will liaise with my clients engineers and suppliers to meet the delivery requirements of the production workshop. In the role you will also control the stores operation and maintain stock level for consumables.
The position will also involve some element of progress chasing to ensure the purchased product meets the delivery date required.
It is essential that you are computer literate and have good working knowledge of Excel, Sage Accounts would be preferable.
Knowledge of the Electrical industry would be an advantage though not essential, and communication is a must!
The position is on a temp to perm basis, based on 13 weeks on temporary then onto a permanent contract. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Salary is £17k - £21k dependant on experience.
