Junior Chef de Partie £13,200 pa
To prepare, cook and present for service menu items to agreed standards. To deputise for the Chef de Partie in their absence and supervise the junior chefs to maintain high standards of performance.
Produce a high standard of work to meet company standards in production, safety and hygiene.
As directed by the senior chef follow the guidelines on stock control, portion control and food wastage to maintain food cost of sales for your unit.
To maintain a high standard on hygiene and cleanliness in the area as laid down in Standards of Performance Manual and departmental cleaning Schedules.
Provide general supervision and coaching to any junior staff in your section/unit as relevant to ensure food served meets the company standard
Liaise and work closely with all unit team in order to create and maintain a good working
Produce high quality dishes as applicable to your unit and in line with company standards and to meet guest satisfaction as directed by the Senior Chefs i.e. Italian, Oriental, Indian or other speciality dishes
Support Senior Chef on implementation of new policies, menus and standards as directed
Desirable (or at least 2 years relevant experience as detailed below)
Formal cooking qualification or willingness to study
1 years experience at Junior Chef de Partie or 2 years at Commis Chef with responsibility for own section within a quality establishment
