Our client, a nation-wide training provider, is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven Business Advisor to join their job centre plus self employment programme across Norfolk. Our client is the number one provider of business start up advice and support for economically inactive customers in the UK providing specialist advice and training for those wishing to start up, expand and improve their businesses.
The role:
The Business Advisor position will involve working with and managing a portfolio of clients who are participating on a variety of government programmes who wish to establish their own businesses.
The Business Advisor will provide advice and guidance to clients who wish to establish their own business and assist them in the preparation of business plans including cash flow assessments which may entail applications for funding. You will be a constant support to the client, assisting with queries and hesitations that they may have as well as establishing and addressing individual Incapacity Benefit recipients’ barriers to self-employment. You will also be expected to deliver training sessions, both in-house to clients, and to external customers.
The ideal applicant will:
* be working within a performance driven environment, be motivated and have the ability to engage clients through outreach activity and then support them in the development of their idea all the way through to start up and sustainability.
* be able to demonstrate the ability to provide a supportive, welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere and have excellent inter-personal skills
* be experienced in working with Incapacity Benefit recipients or other unemployed/hard to reach groups.
* have a proven background in self-employment, or knowledge of how to set up a business.
*have exceptional people skills, proven Business Counselling skills, a good network of contacts and knowledge of funding streams locally
* be self sufficient and happy to travel around the Norfolk area responsible for a caseload of clients.

The hours of work are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and the salary is up to£25,000 depending on experience.
