Norfolk e-learning forum - 28th October 2009
Tired of jargon? Don’t understand all the techie talk? Have you heard the term open source but don’t know what it means? Are you looking for low cost or free software solutions? Have you come across Moodle, Wordle, Twitter, Dim Dim, OpenSim and many others but are not sure what they are or how you could use them? The Norfolk e-learning forum might be able to answer some of your questions!
This interactive session from the Norfolk e-learning forum will look at how leading organisations are now making use of open source software, we will take a loot at software for Apple Mac, PC and Mobile Phones; from a GPS tracker for the iPhone to a free web conferencing tool.
The session will include live demonstrations of how you can use the software, where to download it and examples of how companies such as North Face and Tommy Hilfiger are using Open Source software.
