Cast iron basket with ash container for coal fires
Lovely fleur-de-lis decoration finials on the ends of the front corners, and attractive ironwork detail on the front bars
(There was no back plate when we bought this so we added on a small sheet of patterned cast iron, but buyer may be able to source a proper one or use it quite adequately without one!)
We also had a custom made-to-measure cast iron drawer that fits underneath to catch the ashes - this is included in the price
It measures approx 16 inches high to the top of the back plate, 25 inches wide and 14 inches deep.
It has worked well for us and we've kept it coated with fire paint, but we've now found a bigger one for our large fireplace so this is no longer required
