We are looking for a Senior Traffic Technician to join our client’s Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) team. Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is an integral part of our clients business and deals with all aspects of traffic monitoring and control including all new technologies such as:-
• Journey time reliability,
• Congestion management,
• ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition),
• CCTV (Closed Circuit TV),
• VMS (Variable Message Signs),
• UTMC (Urban Traffic Management and Control),
• Traffic signal feasibility, design, installation and commissioning
• Car park guidance.
Your responsibilities will include
• Carrying out the design of traffic signal and installation schemes
• Carrying out the design of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) schemes
• Supervising Technicians involved in the design and installation activities
• Monitoring financial status and progress of schemes to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
• Assisting in the development of traffic information systems
• Production of transportation reports and capacity modelling including Linsig and Transyt
• Production of estimates for schemes
• Coordinate the collation and analysis of traffic data
