For sale is my GSXR 1000 ZK4. Following a low-speed accident the bike has sustained some damage and is in need of repair. The accident is unrecorded and the bike remains HPI clear. The majority of the damage is cosmetic (to the left hand side) and the bike would be able to return to the road with a small amount of work. It would also form the base of an incredible track-bike.

The major points that would need attention are:

- The clocks were missing when the bike returned from the recovery centre.
- Clock bracket is broken.
- Clock and headlight wiring loom is damaged.
- Top fairing, headlight and screen are broken.
- Generator cover is damaged and has worn through just enough to leak a little oil.
- Front brake-fluid reservoir has broken away from the master cylinder.
- The left-hand footpeg and gear-change lever are damaged.
- Switch-gear on the left handle-bar is damaged.
- Rear tyre is at the end of its life.

Now the good points:

- Limited edition version of the GSX-R1000K4 (limited to 400 official UK imports).
- Fitted with a Power Commander 3 USB and a carbon Akrapovic end-can.
- Taxed until end of May 2010 and MOTd until March 23rd 2010.
- Very clean pre-accident condition and damage unrecorded.
- Major components such as chassis, swinging arm, forks and exhaust are not marked.

The damage listed above is not absolute; it is merely a list of the components that would need attention for the bike to become roadworthy again. The cosmetic damage is reasonably light but does include the fairing panels (scuffed but not cracked), tank (scratched but not dented), seat-unit (scratched but not cracked) and rear wheel (light scuffing).

The bike has not been started since the accident. This is only due to loss of oil through damage to the generator cover and there is no reason why it shouldn’t run. I am prepared to make a temporary repair to the generator cover in order to start the bike for interested parties.

I have nothing to hide, I've been as honest as I can and I don’t believe I’m asking silly money. There is money to be made in this bike if you have the time and inclination, which I do not. Following the accident I just want to be rid of any reminders. By all means let my loss become your gain.
