Male and Female – aged about 40 to 60 - single or as a group or couple? It makes no difference to me. Are you looking for friendship to enjoy a drink and laugh with someone but also to exchange experiences in discussion for pleasant company that could also be helpful and not for being nosey?
I am male and single but cannot drive in case you hope to enjoy the benefits a car can give. Whist single / married / separated or divorced makes no difference for friendship, some people find it helpful to know and that is why this is mentioned.
Honesty whilst often helpful and welcome to most is not a set condition. If someone told me they had been to the moon, but we enjoyed meeting up – that is what matters.
I enjoy a drink out both for the better drink available in licensed premises, but mainly the atmosphere with other people also out that cannot be obtained if having a quiet drink at home or with a meal in a restaurant that some people prefer?
That to me is more relevant for possible romance rather than friendship.
